Course Outline

Danima clinics are designed for you to develop a stronger relationship and communication with your horse, to create a stronger bond. Our main focus in natural horsemanship is to create a strong foundation for the start of performance horse training for any discipline. Whether it be English, Western Trail Riding for competition or personal safety.

GROUNDSKILLS

You will go through a process of groundskills learning impulsion, balance, flexion and engagement through respect (mental), impulsion (emotional) and flexion (physical):

Following the feel of the lead (staying inside the halter)

Liberty (advancing students)

RIDDEN

You will go through a process of ridden skills learning impulsion, balance, flexion and engagement through respect (mental), impulsion (emotional) and flexion (physical):

Course Outline:

5 Rein positions - Freestyle, flexion, indirect, direct and active support

4 Rein lengths - freestyle, flat top line, long and low and elevated with soft feel

Warm up - consisting of head in and out, shoulders in and out and quarters in and out.

One rein riding - for beginners safety and further along becomes advanced riding.

Two rein riding - start of strengthening, shoulder in, traver, renver, half pass, engagement and start of collection

Separating hands from legs - hind quarters, fore quarters, ribs and elevation

How to use your seat - engagement, direction, transitions, etc.

Combining hands legs and seat

Freestyle riding - bareback and bridleless
